Browser crash via unsafe callback relocation
Published Jan 13, 2026 · Updated Jan 13, 2026
Use-after-free in Mozilla Firefox before 147 and Firefox ESR before 115.32 or 140.7 allows remote attackers to crash via crafted HTML. ChildProcessChannelListener stores a non-trivially relocatable std::function in an nsTHashMap whose ALLOW_MEMMOVE path moves the object bytewise, leaving its internal pointer aimed at freed memory. Exploitation requires a victim to load attacker-controlled HTML; the observed crash and Mozilla's stated user impact are specific to Windows.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
Public exploit references
