CVE-2026-0871Public exploitNetwork attack vector

User-profile tampering via writable administrator-view attributes

Published Feb 27, 2026 · Updated Feb 27, 2026

Improper access control in Keycloak allows remote authenticated users with manage-users permission to alter user profile attributes. DefaultAttributes.getWritable() retained unmanaged attributes because its filtering logic did not treat the ADMIN_VIEW policy as read-only before Admin API updates. Exploitation requires a realm configured so administrators can only view unmanaged attributes and an account permitted to edit users; the consequence is unauthorized modification of stored profile data.
