CVE-2026-0863Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via exception object access

Published Jan 18, 2026 · Updated Jan 18, 2026

Code injection in affected n8n releases allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary Python code through a Code node. The Python task analyzer permits access to an exception's obj attribute, and crafted string formatting recovers traceback frames, builtins, and the unrestricted import function. Affected releases are before 1.123.14, 2.0.0 through 2.3.4, and 2.4.0 through 2.4.1; internal mode exposes the n8n host, while external mode confines execution to the sidecar container.
