Arbitrary command execution via crafted folder names
Published Jan 9, 2026 · Updated Jan 9, 2026
Command injection in the GitLab Merge-Request helper in Kiro IDE before 0.6.18 allows attackers to execute commands through a malicious workspace. The helper incorporates specially crafted workspace folder names into an OS command without neutralizing embedded command content. Execution requires a user to open the crafted workspace, after which injected commands run with that user's privileges and can read, change, or interrupt local resources.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
