CVE-2026-0828Known exploitationPublic exploit

Local protected-process termination via unguarded driver IOCTL

Published Jun 26, 2026 · Updated Jun 26, 2026

Denial of service in Safetica Client for Windows 10.5.75.0 and earlier and 11.11.4.0 and earlier allows local users to terminate protected processes. ProcessMonitorDriver.sys accepts a caller-supplied PID through IOCTL 0xB822200C and performs privileged process termination without validating the caller's privileges. Local access is required; repeated requests can stop Safetica or antivirus processes, blinding endpoint monitoring and interrupting service.
