OS command injection in Algo 8180 IP Audio Alerter 5.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through its API. The API passes a user-supplied string to a system call without properly validating or neutralizing command syntax. Valid API credentials and network reachability are required; successful exploitation runs code in the device context and can fully compromise the endpoint.
