Root code execution via untrusted DAAS deserialization
Published Jan 23, 2026 · Updated Jan 23, 2026
Deserialization of untrusted data in GPT Academic 3.91 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a malicious DAAS server. The stream_daas function deserializes server-supplied data without validating its source or contents, allowing attacker-controlled payloads to run code. Exploitation requires interaction with a malicious DAAS server, and successful code runs in the root context, enabling full host compromise.
