Unauthenticated code execution via create_issue command injection
Published Jan 23, 2026 · Updated Jan 23, 2026
Command injection in Sunwood AI Labs github-kanban-mcp-server 0.3.0 allows remote attackers to execute code through create_issue input. The create_issue handler passes a user-supplied string to execAsync for a system call without validating or neutralizing shell syntax. Unauthenticated access to the MCP tool is sufficient, and injected commands run with the service account's privileges.
