Stored XSS via unsanitized malicious JSON
Published Jan 28, 2026 · Updated Jan 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Drupal Form Builder 7.x-1.0 through 7.x-1.22 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via malicious JSON. The JavaScript-based form-building interface follows a crafted HTML link to attacker-controlled JSON and inserts its unsanitized html value into the page. The attacker needs permission to enter specially formatted HTML link tags, and execution occurs when another user loads the affected builder interface.
