Stored XSS via unescaped slide link metadata
Published Apr 4, 2026 · Updated Apr 4, 2026
Stored XSS in Shortcodes Ultimate 7.4.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the su_carousel shortcode. The shortcode reads the su_slide_link attachment meta value and places it into carousel link output without sufficient sanitization or escaping. Author-level access is required; the stored script runs in a visitor's browser whenever the affected page is viewed, enabling page-context data access or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
