Administrator-level stored XSS via unescaped accent color
Published Feb 11, 2026 · Updated Feb 11, 2026
Stored XSS in WPlyr Media Block 1.3.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through _wplyr_accent_color. The plugin stores the user-supplied block attribute without sufficient sanitization and later renders it without output escaping. Administrator-level access is required to plant the payload, which runs in a visitor's browser whenever the affected page is opened.
