Physical service interruption via exposed bootloader password

Insufficiently protected bootloader credentials in Moxa UC-1200A Series 1.0 through 1.4 allow physically proximate attackers to interrupt service. The device-unique password printed on the device unlocks the bootloader menu over the serial interface, where a valid Moxa-signed image can be reflashed. Physical possession and serial access are required; signature enforcement blocks malicious firmware and arbitrary code, limiting the consequence to temporary downtime.
