Stored XSS via unescaped rank_math_description metadata
Published Jan 20, 2026 · Updated Jan 20, 2026
Stored XSS in FlatPM – Ad Manager, AdSense and Custom Code 3.2.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. The plugin accepts the rank_math_description custom field without sufficient input sanitization and later renders the stored value without output escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and the injected JavaScript runs in the browser of any user who opens the affected page.
