Template injection in Edgewall Software Genshi 0.7.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted expressions. The eval.py evaluator passes compiled expressions to Python eval() or exec(), while lookupname() resolves missing variables from the built-in namespace. Exploitation requires influence over template expressions, and injected code runs with the hosting application's privileges.
