Stored XSS via unsanitized plugin settings
Published Feb 4, 2026 · Updated Feb 4, 2026
Stored XSS in rtddev Extended Random Number Generator 1.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through plugin settings. The settings handler stores administrator-supplied values without adequate sanitization, and settings output is rendered without adequate escaping. Administrator access is required, and exposure is limited to multisite installations or sites with unfiltered_html disabled; injected code runs when a user opens an affected page.
