CVE-2026-0662

Code execution via untrusted project-directory search path

Published Feb 4, 2026 · Updated Feb 4, 2026

Untrusted search path use in Autodesk 3ds Max 2026 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code when a crafted MAX file is opened. 3ds Max incorporates the project directory into an untrusted search path; Autodesk has not disclosed which dependency lookup selects attacker-controlled content. Exploitation requires a user to open the file from the crafted directory, and resulting code runs with the current process privileges.
