Unauthenticated command execution via upload filename
Published Jan 6, 2026 · Updated Jan 6, 2026
OS command injection in TOTOLINK WA300 5.2cu.7112_B20190227 allows remote attackers to execute commands via a crafted upload filename. The cstecgi.cgi sub_401510 upload handler inserts the UPLOAD_FILENAME CGI value into a shell command with sprintf and passes the result to system() without validation or escaping. No authentication is required to reach action=upload on the web management interface, granting command execution in the web service context.
