Information disclosure via unchecked X.500 wildcards

LDAP injection in Bouncy Castle Java 1.74 through 1.80.1, 1.81, and 1.82 through 1.83 allows context-dependent attackers to disclose LDAP data. LDAPStoreHelper fails to reject wildcard characters in certificate, subject, or issuer X.500 names before incorporating parsed values into LDAP searches. Exposure requires explicit use of the secondary LDAP certificate-processing API with unvetted certificates and permits information disclosure without reported write or service-interruption impact.
