CVE-2026-0622Network attack vector

Administrative access via predictable JWT signing key

Published Jan 20, 2026 · Updated Jan 20, 2026

Hard-coded credentials in Open5GS 2.7.6 and earlier allow remote attackers to forge administrative JWTs for protected management APIs. The management interface signs and validates tokens with a fixed fallback secret when JWT_SECRET_KEY is unset, making administrative tokens predictable. Network access to the management interface and an unchanged default are required; forged tokens permit reading or modifying subscriber data and system configuration.
