Second-order SQL injection in Hibernate ORM 5.2.8 through 5.6.15 allows remote authenticated users to read, alter, or delete database data. InlineIdsOrClauseBuilder inserts previously stored identifier tokens into UPDATE or DELETE predicates instead of binding them as parameters, activating SQL metacharacters supplied earlier. Exploitation requires low-privileged control of a non-alphanumeric entity ID and an application explicitly using the inline OR bulk-ID strategy; successful payloads can expose files, corrupt data, or interrupt the application.
