CVE-2026-0602Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated metadata disclosure via ReferenceRedactor bypass

Published Mar 11, 2026 · Updated Mar 11, 2026

Improper access control in GitLab CE/EE allows remote authenticated users to read metadata from private project objects. Snippet markup rendering bypasses ReferenceRedactor, so references to inaccessible issues, merge requests, epics, milestones, or commits retain titles and other metadata. An authenticated account can reach the network rendering path when crafted snippet markup references objects it cannot access; the consequence is metadata disclosure only.
