Missing authorization in WP Go Maps 10.0.04 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter global map engine settings. The processBackgroundAction() notice handler accepts background actions without checking the caller's WordPress capability, including an action that switches the globally selected map engine. Subscriber-level access is sufficient; the demonstrated consequence is settings modification, with no reported code execution, data disclosure, or service interruption.
