Unauthenticated file processing via missing authentication dependency
Published Mar 29, 2026 · Updated Mar 29, 2026
Improper authentication in ParisNeo LoLLMS before 2.2.0 allows remote attackers to upload and process files through an unprotected API. In backend/routers/files.py, extract_text_from_file accepts an UploadFile and invokes extraction without Depends(get_current_active_user). Any network client reaching the FastAPI service can trigger parser work without an account, causing resource exhaustion and the reported disclosure of processed content.
