CVE-2026-0539Public exploit

SYSTEM escalation via writable service binary

Published Apr 22, 2026 · Updated Apr 22, 2026

Incorrect permissions in pcvisit Remote-Host 22.6.22.1329 through 25.12.3.1744 allow local users to gain NT\SYSTEM privileges. The installer grants Everyone Modify and Write access to pcvisit_service_client.exe, allowing its contents to be replaced before service startup. A low-privileged Windows account can rename the running binary, substitute attacker-controlled code, and have it execute as NT\SYSTEM when the service restarts or the host reboots.
