Memory corruption in Autodesk 3ds Max before 2026.3.2 allows attackers to execute code by opening a maliciously crafted RGB file. The RGB file parser performs an out-of-bounds write while processing malformed image data, corrupting memory in the current process. Exploitation requires user interaction with an attacker-supplied file and grants code execution with the privileges of the 3ds Max process.
