Arbitrary file disclosure via unvalidated connector credentials
Published Jan 14, 2026 · Updated Jan 14, 2026
Combined SSRF and path control in Elastic Kibana allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files through a crafted Gemini connector. The Google Gemini connector processes attacker-supplied credentials JSON without validating file paths or request destinations, causing server-side file reads and outbound requests. Exploitation requires Alerts & Connectors: All privileges to create or modify connectors; the disclosed impact is file confidentiality loss and attacker-directed network access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=8.15.0 <=8.19.9
- Affected versionversion=9.0.0 <=9.1.9
- Affected versionversion=9.2.0 <=9.2.3
