Arbitrary code execution via untrusted DLL loading
Published Jul 14, 2026 · Updated Jul 14, 2026
DLL hijacking in SAProuter on Microsoft Windows allows local users to execute arbitrary code by planting a library in an untrusted path. The SAProuter executable searches an untrusted location when resolving a DLL and loads an attacker-supplied library; SAP has not disclosed the DLL name or search-path entry. Exploitation requires local placement of a DLL but no SAProuter authentication or user interaction, and the injected code runs in the SAProuter process context.
