Improper input validation in NETGEAR router firmware allows remote authenticated users on the local network to modify protected software. NETGEAR has not disclosed the affected management-interface locus, the crafted input involved, or the validation operation that fails. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator and adjacent-network access; the bounded reported consequence is integrity loss through unauthorized changes to router software and functionality.
