Untrusted search path flaws in Palo Alto Networks GlobalProtect App allow local users to execute commands as SYSTEM or root. The vendor identifies CWE-426 but has not disclosed the affected executable-loading locus or how an attacker-controlled search-path entry is selected. A non-administrative local account is sufficient; no special configuration is required, and successful exploitation grants administrative command execution.
