Local file deletion via symlink following
Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026
Improper link resolution in Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access Agent on Linux before 26.2.2 allows local users to delete system files. Palo Alto Networks has not identified the affected file-handling component; it resolves a symbolic link before deleting the resulting system path. A low-privileged local account and no special configuration are required, and successful exploitation can disable the agent without affecting other platforms.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
