Path traversal in Cortex XSOAR engines on Linux allows man-in-the-middle attackers to write arbitrary files through response traffic. The engine processes attacker-manipulated response paths without confining the resulting file write to an intended directory; Palo Alto Networks has not named the responsible function. Exploitation requires adjacent-network interception, response manipulation, and passive user interaction, but no special configuration.
