Unauthenticated service interruption via crafted network traffic
Published May 13, 2026 · Updated May 13, 2026
Denial of service in PAN-OS 10.2, 11.1, 11.2, and 12.1 allows remote attackers to interrupt firewalls via crafted dataplane traffic. Affected dataplane parsers fail to handle unusual or exceptional conditions in crafted network traffic, but Palo Alto Networks has not disclosed the protocols, code loci, or exact failure mode. No special configuration or authentication is required; the vendor reports availability impact only, does not specify whether devices crash or hang, and states that Prisma Access is not affected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
