Traffic interception via improper certificate validation
Published May 13, 2026 · Updated May 13, 2026
Improper certificate validation in Palo Alto Networks GlobalProtect App allows attackers to intercept encrypted traffic on macOS, Android, and ChromeOS. Palo Alto Networks has not published the affected certificate-handling locus or the precise validation operation that accepts an unauthorized server. A local non-administrative user or same-subnet attacker can redirect connections and facilitate malicious software installation; macOS exposure requires SAML authentication in the embedded browser.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
