Unauthenticated firewall reboot via crafted ADNS packet
Published Feb 11, 2026 · Updated Feb 11, 2026
Denial of service in PAN-OS 11.2.0 through 11.2.9 and 12.1.0 through 12.1.3 allows remote attackers to reboot firewalls. Palo Alto Networks identifies ADNS packet handling as the locus but has not disclosed the exceptional condition that triggers the reboot. Exposure requires ADNS and a spyware profile action set to block, sinkhole, or alert; repeated packets force maintenance mode.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=11.2.0 <11.2.10 changes=[{"at":"11.2.10","status":"unaffected"}]
