CVE-2026-0152

Local privilege escalation via out-of-bounds VMA expansion

Published Jun 16, 2026 · Updated Jun 16, 2026

Privilege escalation in the Android kernel allows local users to gain elevated privileges through the PowerVR GPU driver. OSMMapPMRGeneric in pmr_os.c mishandles a system call that expands a virtual memory area beyond its intended bounds. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access, needs no user interaction, and can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability at elevated privilege.
