Remote service interruption via unchecked audio command
Published Jun 16, 2026 · Updated Jun 16, 2026
Memory safety flaw in Android's AocAudioCodec kernel component allows remote authenticated users to interrupt the Telephony service. writeAocCommand processes an audio codec command without a required bounds check, permitting memory access outside the intended buffer. Low privileges and no user interaction are required; the published impact is limited to availability, and the private issue hides the exact crash path.
