Remote information disclosure via unchecked RTCP APP packet
Published Jun 16, 2026 · Updated Jun 16, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in Telephony in Google Android allows remote authenticated users to disclose data through a crafted RTCP APP packet. decodeAppPacket in RtcpAppPacket.cpp parses the packet without the bounds check needed to keep a read within the supplied buffer. Exploitation requires low privileges but no user interaction, and the resulting read exposes data beyond the intended packet boundary without altering it.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
