CVE-2026-0094

Local privilege escalation via unsanitized application labels

Published Jun 1, 2026 · Updated Jun 1, 2026

UI injection in Google Android 14, 15, 16, and 16-qpr2 allows local users to gain privileges via a crafted application label. KeyChainActivity.getApplicationLabel places the label in a certificate-selection prompt without removing newlines or control characters, allowing it to alter the prompt layout. Exploitation requires a local malicious application and grants certificate access without additional execution privileges or user interaction.
