CVE-2026-0075

Local contacts disclosure via SQLite error side channel

Published Jun 1, 2026 · Updated Jun 1, 2026

SQL injection in Android 14, 15, 16, and 16 QPR2 allows local users to access contacts data through malformed provider queries. ContactsProvider2 accepts malformed SQL and returns SQLite exception text that callers lacking READ_CONTACTS can parse as a database-derived side channel. User interaction is not required, but local app execution is required; the bounded consequence is unauthorized contacts disclosure rather than broad code execution.
