Input-text disclosure via unchecked listener registration
Published Jun 1, 2026 · Updated Jun 1, 2026
Improper authorization in Google Android XR 14 allows local users to read input text through InputMethodManagerService. The addInputMethodListener method registers a listener without checking the permission required to observe input-method events. Locally executing code needs no additional execution privileges or user interaction, exposing typed text across the device.
