Remote service interruption via UBSan hard abort
Published Jun 1, 2026 · Updated Jun 1, 2026
Integer overflow in dng_sdk in Google Android 14, 15, 16, and 16-qpr2 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via DNG decoding. The overflow handlers in ubsan_throwing_runtime.cpp invoke a hard abort when decoding reaches arithmetic overflow; the patch replaces those aborts with catchable C++ exceptions. No additional execution privileges or user interaction is required, and the bounded outcome is termination of the affected decoding path rather than code execution or data access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
