CVE-2026-0032

Local privilege escalation via unchecked memory-sharing ranges

Published Mar 2, 2026 · Updated Mar 2, 2026

Out-of-bounds writes in Android kernel pKVM mem_protect.c allow local users to escalate privileges through invalid memory-sharing ranges. The page-state setters accepted addresses outside RAM and overflowing address-plus-size ranges, allowing MMIO pages to enter host memory-sharing paths. Exploitation requires low local privileges on an affected ARM64 device with pKVM; no user interaction is required, and successful abuse grants higher privileges.
