Information disclosure via app-pinning state loss
Published Mar 2, 2026 · Updated Mar 2, 2026
Information disclosure in Android 14 through 16 allows local users to access app-dependent data by partially bypassing app pinning. KeyguardServiceDelegate.onServiceDisconnected handles a SystemUI service loss without preserving lock-task state or performing the required permission check, partially disengaging app pinning. Exploitation requires local access to an app-pinned device but no LSKF, additional execution privileges, or user interaction; exposed information depends on the reachable app.
