PHP code execution via portal_type file inclusion
Published Sep 5, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Local file inclusion in Smackcoders WordPress Helpdesk Integration 5.8.10 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute PHP code. The plugin's index.php uses the request-controlled portal_type value to select a PHP file for inclusion without restricting the resulting path. Code execution requires an attacker-controlled PHP file to be present on the server; inclusion can also bypass access controls or disclose data.
