CVE-2025-9962Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Root code execution via unchecked UDP datagram size

Published Sep 23, 2025 · Updated Mar 31, 2026

A stack-based buffer overflow in Novakon P Series HMI firmware P-V2001.A.c518o2 allows remote attackers to execute code as root over UDP. The PSeriesbiosinterface service passes an unchecked QUdpSocket::pendingDatagramSize() value to client::readDatagram(), overflowing a stack buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required on UDP port 60681, and successful exploitation provides root-level control of the HMI.
