Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Oct 3, 2025 · Updated Oct 3, 2025
Stored XSS in the Ird Slider shortcode in Ird Slider 1.0.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts into pages. The shortcode handler accepts user-supplied attributes without sufficient input sanitization and emits them without output escaping. Contributor-level access is required; the stored script runs whenever a visitor opens the injected page, enabling actions in that visitor's browser.
