Link following in the Razer Synapse 3.10.228.21112 Chroma SDK installer allows local users to escalate privileges to SYSTEM. The privileged installer follows an attacker-created symbolic link and deletes its target without preventing redirection to an arbitrary file. Low-privileged code execution on Windows is required; controlled deletion of protected files enables arbitrary code execution as SYSTEM.
