SYSTEM code execution via symlinked installer deletion
Published Oct 29, 2025 · Updated Oct 29, 2025
Link following in Razer Synapse 3 3.10.228.21112 allows local users to execute arbitrary code as SYSTEM through the Philips HUE installer. The installer follows an attacker-created symbolic link during file deletion, redirecting the privileged operation to an arbitrary path. Low-privileged code execution on the Windows host is required, and the resulting arbitrary file deletion enables privilege escalation.
