SYSTEM code execution via symbolic-link file deletion
Published Oct 29, 2025 · Updated Oct 29, 2025
Link following in the Macro Module of Razer Synapse 3 3.10.228.21112 allows local users to execute code as SYSTEM. The privileged Razer Synapse Service follows an attacker-created symbolic link when deleting Macro Module files, redirecting deletion to an arbitrary file. Low-privileged code execution on Windows is required; arbitrary file deletion can be chained to SYSTEM code execution.
