UI spoofing via misleading dangerous-download dialog
Published Sep 3, 2025 · Updated Sep 3, 2025
UI spoofing in Google Chrome for Android before 140.0.7339.80 allows remote attackers to misrepresent dangerous download prompts. The DangerousDownloadDialog failed to distinguish a site-controlled filename from Chrome-produced text and omitted the download domain. A victim must open a crafted HTML page and interact with the misleading prompt, which can obscure a download's true source.
